Weekly holiday pay formula
A worker who attends every contracted day of the week must receive at least one paid holiday per week on average. With 15 or more contracted hours a week, weekly holiday pay = (weekly contracted hours ÷ 40) × 8 hours × hourly wage, treating 40 or more hours as 8 hours. This proportional formula comes from a Ministry of Employment and Labor administrative interpretation, not from the statute. The rule does not apply to workers averaging under 15 hours a week over 4 weeks.
2026 minimum wage
The 2026 minimum wage is KRW 10,320 per hour. Multiplied by 209 paid hours a month for a 40-hour week (including 8 weekly holiday hours), it is KRW 2,156,880 a month.
What this calculator cannot apply
Weeks with absences, very-short-hours status, overtime, night and holiday premiums, probation reductions, items counted toward the minimum wage (bonuses, welfare allowances) and exceptions for surveillance or intermittent workers are not applied.
